Anzac House – Committee for Melbourne

Located on St Kilda Road, the ANZAC House Committee for Melbourne required an acoustic treatment solution that complemented the building’s heritage character while improving speech clarity and reducing reverberation in formal meeting areas. Sontext was selected to deliver a custom acoustic panel system that addressed these acoustic challenges without compromising the architectural integrity of the space.

Sontext provided fabric wrapped acoustic panels, designed for both sound absorption and aesthetic integration. The panels were customised in size, edge profile, and colour to blend with the existing interior finishes. Acoustic insulation was carefully selected to meet the required NRC values for the boardroom and adjacent spaces.

  • Panel Type: Sonofonic Fabric Acoustic Panels
  • Core: High-density acoustic insulation
  • Finish: Custom-selected acoustic fabric
  • Fixing: Concealed mounting for a clean appearance

Scope of Work and Panel Selection

The result was a significant improvement in acoustic comfort during meetings and ceremonies, while maintaining the formal tone and appearance of the space. The installation was completed with minimal disruption, and Sontext worked closely with the builder and architect to ensure seamless integration with lighting and HVAC systems.
